Today is a day to celebrate all the fathers, father figures, and male mentors out there. To show appreciation for all their guidance, affection, adventure and care. It’s time to get creative to show dads just how much we appreciate them this Father’s Day. For every kind of dad, there’s a perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day as a family.

For the adventurous dads. It’s time to say thank you to your dad for teaching you bravery. Go a little bananas this father’s day and celebrate in the wild. As the weather is starting to warm up, pack a cooler and some marshmallows, and go camping. There’s nothing better than telling old stories and having a laugh over the campfire. Get back to basics with dad by surprising him with a camping trip just like old times.

For the connoisseur dads. Say thank you to your dad for teaching you the best kitchen tricks, and, well, for never letting you go hungry! Test out your culinary skills together. Book yourself and your dad a cooking class. Perfect your skills and learn new recipes. If that’s not his cup of tea, have a quiet night together at home, preparing a new and challenging recipe. You’ll find yourself bonding and smiling over a delicious home-cooked meal. But, before you can be a master chef, you must put some energy in your stomach. Start of your cooking day with 3-ingredient Chiquita banana pancakes.

For the hipster dads. Say thank you for always taking you to taste the best-brewed coffee in town and being the best trend-setter. Make a list of the coolest cafes, restaurants, and bars around town and go on a ‘hipster-crawl’. Nothing will make a hipster dad happier than coffee, good food, and a snazzy cocktail. For the handyman dad. Say thanks to your dad who always managed to repair and piece back together the broken things, after all, accidents happen! How about making something for him? Think of a small DIY job that you could gift to your dad, or better yet, do it together.

For the coach dads. Say thank you for always coming to every sporting match, for practicing in the garden, and for being your biggest fan. Take dad to a game or surprise him with some tickets to his favorite sport to watch his team. Alternatively, take him down to the local courts, pitch or field and play a game together. A bit of friendly competitiveness always results in a good laugh.

Show your dad how much you care with these Father’s Day ideas. Whether your dad is adventurous, the connoisseur, the hipster, the handyman, the coach, a different kind, or all of them put together, thank your him for giving you the skills to face life and to live it to the fullest. Most importantly, thank your dad for always being there.
